College Radio Day on October 11

WVOF is proud to be part of College Radio Day, a national celebration and collaboration of college radio station across the North America that are heard around the world.

WVOF will be in the BCC Lower Level of the Barone Campus Center on Tuesday, October 11 from 1am to 7pm. There will be live student broadcasts, live music, replays of our favorite interviews, awesome music, and even Robeks Smoothies and WVOF giveaways! Come and listen to to the Voice or Fairfield and support your local college radio station. Its a day to listen and realize that College Radio is important to every member of the university and the surrounding community.

“College Radio Day is a not-for-profit organization and is not owned by any other organization or corporation and is entirely organized by volunteer staff members from the many college radio stations throughout North America. This day is organized by many people whose passion for radio fuels this event. It’s a day of celebration. It’s a day of live music and special interviews. It’s the day we all come together.”

WVOF AUDIO SPORTS BLOG

WVOF- Fairfield University Radio is excited to announce the premiere of a new addition to their Fairfield University sports coverage. WVOF’s Sports team is rolling out a new audio blog that aims to give our audience coverage on a weekly basis. Such features will include weekly head coaches’ interviews, player profiles, and other online exclusives. The blog will be an online archive for all interviews and content throughout the academic year focusing on the sports that WVOF will normally cover. These include Men’s and Women’s soccer, Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s basketball, Men’s and Women’s lacrosse and baseball.

This blog will be your source for interviews, analysis, previews, recaps, and more.

WVOF is looking forward to providing the best coverage of Fairfield University sports this year both on the Internet blog and on 88.5FM and streaming live on wvof.org. Stay tuned to WVOF for all sports information and for schedules of the games we will be carrying this year.

2. TICKET GIVEAWAY! WVOF will be giving away 2 PAIRS of tickets to the GUSTER and RA RA RIOT concert at Ives Concert Park in Danbury, CT on Wednesday, August 3.
